Rebel Talk: F*ck That
There I was, standing in the middle of a store, trying to find a Confirmation card for my girlfriend’s son—a moment meant to be filled with hope, growth, and a celebration of personal faith. But as I scanned the aisles, what did I find? Halloween decorations everywhere. Skeletons, pumpkins, and candy, all pushing distractions, while another section featured a massive display of sympathy cards, as if life is about constant sorrow. But nothing—absolutely nothing—for a confirmation. Nothing for this milestone of faith and personal growth.
It hit me like a ton of bricks. The world doesn’t want us to rise. It doesn't care about these pivotal, life-affirming moments that make us stronger. It wants us buried in distractions—Halloween, sympathy, whatever keeps us numb. Instead of celebrating moments that build us up, we’re surrounded by reminders of loss or superficial nonsense.
That’s the world trying to control the narrative, trying to tell us how we should live, what we should care about. It's that constant drip of negativity, telling us to feel small, to live within the lines they’ve drawn for us. And it doesn't stop there. Every time we turn on the TV or scroll through our phones, we’re bombarded by chaos, drama, and empty noise. It’s like the world is desperately trying to keep us distracted from living on our terms, from owning our power, from chasing what really matters.
But that's not how we roll. That’s not the Relentless Rebel way.
The world wants you to be comfortable feeling down, to lose yourself in sympathy for what's gone wrong instead of focusing on everything you can become. It’s always nudging you to mindlessly consume—whether it’s products, ideas, or fears. But let me tell you something, that's not our path. We weren't built to settle for the narrative handed to us. We're built different. We were meant to carve out our own destiny, create our own story, live a life that’s meaningful and fueled by purpose.
Living like a Relentless Rebel means we don’t let distractions steal our focus. We see through the noise and hype. We live intentionally, with passion, and on our own terms. We decide what matters. And let’s be real—it’s not going to be what’s popular or easy. It’s going to be those moments that push us, that test us, that ask us to rise higher than we’ve ever been before.
Tonight was a stark reminder that the world is always trying to condition us to live a certain way. But f*ck that. We were meant for more. We're meant to live our lives on our terms, chasing what lights us up and letting go of anything that doesn’t push us forward.
Don’t get sucked into the distractions. Whether it’s mindlessly scrolling or buying into the idea that life is about constant sorrow—don’t let them dictate your story. Be intentional. Be present. Seek the things that make you feel alive, and leave the noise behind.
This is our life. This is our journey. And we’re going to live it unapologetically. Because the world may try to hold us back, but a Relentless Rebel knows we were meant to rise.
Stay Relentless,
Ryan
